Memorial to
Terrance Marsden
It was decided that we would purchase a bench for the Green. Investigate the purchase of the bench ACTION RAYMOND
Ask Mike Dunball about where we could get a plaque engraved ACTION PATRICK. There is still the idea about the bridle path next to his home to be named after Terrance. This is likely to become part of one of our 2010 projects. When we have firm idea Raymond can take to the relevant planning departments.
EVENT REPORT
Christmas Tree and
Carol Singing on Friday 19th December.
This was a great new event for our calendar. It had been a really nice night although a little windy. There had been about 30 people attended. Sarah had purchased 6 bottles of mulled wine at £2.99 each and 6*6 mince pies. The flasks could be improved for this year.
Many thanks to Russell for the tree and Duncan for loaning us the lights. Russell offered us a tree that we could plant on the Green for future years which would need to be planted in the next 2 to 3 months. Decide on the tree location ACTION BOB
FUTURE EVENTS

8pm
Teams of 4, entrance fee of £1 a person

2010 IDEAS
The December meeting went through the ideas that had come out of a meeting earlier this year.
Ann suggested having ÔEco GreenÕ lectures possibly from the Alternative Energy Centre, looking at Energy sources
Look into purchasing a monopoly trail
Having a village sign of house names
Consider an aerial photo. Russell knows a company that uses a very long pole to get a similar effect.
A village T towel with cartoon ideas that could be done at the garden party.
Wildlife Survey
Andrew advised that Victoria would be interested in doing the survey but it would be plants, trees, flowers and grasses rather than animals. This would be a ÔPhase 1Õ survey and would take quite a lot of time so the area to be covered would have to limited. For woods the best time is spring and for hedges later in the year. Julia had agreed to do the work with Victoria and also take photographs which could then be used on the website. Need to check our expectations against the type of report that would be produced. Ask Victoria and Julia to attend February meeting to talk about the options that are available ACTION ANDREW
