ADBASTON PARISH COUNCIL

 

A MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL WAS HELD ON MONDAY 13TH JULY 2009 AT 7.30PM IN THE JUBILEE ROOM, ADBASTON.

 

 

PRESENT:      Cllr(s) J.S.Billington., R.K.Briggs., B.Brown., P.Drewnicki., N.Evans, P.Nicholson.

 

1                                 CHAIRMANŐS WELCOME: The chairman welcomed all those present, particularly new Cllr P Nicholson.

 

2                                 Cllr Nicholson signed his declaration of office (Register of Members Interest Form provided for completion and return to Clerk)

 

3                                 APOLOGIES; Apologies received from Cllr P Byrd and Borough Cllr F Chapman.

 

4                                 MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 26TH MEETING agreed as a correct record and signed by the chairman.

 

5                                 MATTERS ARISING:

 

A)                              FINGERPOST T JUNCTION, CHURCH LANE/MARSHMEADOW;  not yet replaced. On going (Chase)

B)                              OFFLEY ROCK (Cllr Briggs had provided the SCC with names of tree owners. It was reported that a great deal of material had fallen during recent weeks) It was agreed to ask for an on site meeting with the County Council with as many members attending as possible. Cllr Briggs agreed to arrange this with Mr M Webb.

 

 

6                                 CORRESPONDENCE:

 

A)                              TELFORD & WREKIN COUNCIL/LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK DOCUMENTATION.

B)                              STAFFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL/ ELECTORAL ROLL AMENDMENTS.

C)                              MRS NAOMI EYRE-WALKER had written asking if the Parish Council would donate towards the repair of the Parish Church Clock. Unfortunately because of the councils financial position this is not possible.

D)                              STAFFORD AND RURAL HOMES open day.  The Chairman stated that he might attend this to discuss the parking issue.

 

7                                 FINANCE:

 

A)                              Completed audit form signed off by the Chairman and clerk for returning to the Audit Commission in August.

 

 

8                                 PLANNING APPLICATIONS: The following considered.

 

09/123037/FUL           SINGLE STOREY SIDE EXTENSION TO DWELLING TO PROVIDE OUTSIDE STORAGE. BRAMBLE COTTAGE (INCLUDING PARTIAL REMOVAL OF HEDGE)

 

09/12171/FUL PROPOSED ERECTION OF FIVE TWO BEDROOM TERRACED HOUSES, LAND SOUTH OF 1 CHURCH VIEW, ADBASTON.

 

09/12175/FUL PARTIAL DEMOLITIION OF DWELLING AND ERECTION OF EXTENSION, OUTLANDS COTTAGE, OFFLEY BROOK.

 

09/12176/FUL CONVERSION OF DOMESTIC OUTBUILDING TO FORM RESIDENTIAL U NIT, INSTALLATION OF SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT

 

 

9                                 ANY OTHER BUSINESS:

 

A)                              HEDGE, 8 MARSH MEADOW causing an obstruction .  Cllr P Drewnicki agreed to speak to the tenant/owner requesting that this be cut back.

 

B)                              ROADS:  Doley, Camp Cross roads west to Sambrook (Roman road) badly potholed. This to be reported to Highways Authorities.

 

C)                              MINUTES: Cllr N Evans question the current arrangement of the provision AGM minutes at the following years AGM.  It was agreed that this be changed and that the minutes be provided at the following months meeting together with the minutes of the previous ordinary meeting.  The clerk agreed to produce this years at the meeting due to be held in October..

 

D)                              Parish boundaries – a map to be provided for Cllr N Evans and Cllr P Nicholson.
